Emory University hosts MLK Community Service Awards Ceremony;
King Center CEO is Guest Speaker
ATLANTA (January 23, 2008) – As part of Emory University’s Martin Luther King Week Celebration, a Community Service Awards Ceremony will be held Thursday, January 24, at 4:00 pm, in the Boynton Auditorium of Goizueta Business School.
The keynote speaker will be Isaac Farris, Jr., president and CEO of The King Center, and nephew of the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
The MLK Community Service Awards will recognize 10 individuals, community organizations, and businesses that exemplify tireless service to the Atlanta community. This year’s honorees are:

Marvin Bussey
SistaSpace Collective, Inc.
B.J. Bernstein
Bradley Cartwright and Kerry Smith
Moving in The Spirit
Planned Parenthood of Georgia – Teen Action Group
The Open Door Community
MAN-UP Organization
Barton Child Law and Policy Clinic
A reception to meet the award recipients will be held immediately after the ceremony.
The MLK Community Service Awards is co-sponsored by Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health and Goizueta Business School.
