Alumni Board Corner Update
By all counts, the 2007/2008 Goizueta Mentor Program was our most successful, ever. Across all Goizueta degree programs, we matched over 400 Alumni Mentors with current student Protégés, a balance of in-town and out-of-town matches. During the matching process, we strive to match based on multiple criteria, including geography, chosen discipline, and personal interests.
This past year we introduced the Mentor Program Panel Series, hosting quarterly guest speaker panels. The first of these panels was titled “Multi-Cultural Leadership in the New Millennium” and was held last November, in conjunction with the Global Diversity Conference. The second panel was held in January, and titled "Road Warriors,” focusing on those within the Consulting discipline. The third panel was titled “Finance and Real Estate,” while the fourth was focused on the Marketing discipline. Thanks to your participation, all four of the panels were a great success, and will be something we look forward to continuing with in the future.
Over the next year we’re looking forward to even greater participation and announcing even more exciting Mentor Program initiatives. Stay tuned.
As always, we encourage your feedback for ways in which we can keep the program evolving.
Finally, we would like to thank all of the Mentors and Protégés who participated this past year. We look forward to your continuing participation over this coming year’s program, and we’ll be looking to make this year the best one yet!
Sincerely,
Steve Greenfield 04EvMBA & Sarah O'Brien 03EMBA
