Alumni Board Update
Dear Friends,
As President of the Goizueta Business School Alumni Association Board, I wanted to briefly update alumni, parents, and friends on what the board is working on for 2008.
The board is a collection of 20 distinguished alumni who volunteer their time to help promote close ties and participation among alumni and friends, strengthen the relationship between the school and the alumni body at large, and develop alumni support for Goizueta's fundraising efforts.
Last year was a busy year for the board, and 2008 promises increased outstanding programming. Board activities for this coming year include a series of industry panel events in support of the Mentor Program. Panels include "Multi-Cultural Leadership," "Road Warriors," "Finance & Real Estate," and "Marketing." The board is also planning regional networking events to connect with alumni outside the Southeast.
Following that theme, we are looking at additional electronic methods to link and build a stronger online community of Goizueta alumni, parents, and friends. We are also working to enhance the stream of communication from the school to ensure that it remains relevant, timely, and informative. Look for enhancements to the Goizueta Magazine and the monthly e-newsletter.
The board will continue to work closely on the planning of several key events and programs including class reunions, the Mentor Program, the Annual Fund, and the Alumni Awards Dinner. It is always an honor to welcome new members into the Association and celebrate the many achievements of our alums across the globe. In addition, we want to hear of ways that we can improve. We will send a brief survey to all alumni in 2008 and encourage you to participate and to contact us any time.
Thanks for your support of Goizueta; I hope that you stay as passionate as I am about the school.
Warmest regards to all of you in 2008,
Chip Gross, MBA 1997
