Biography
Professor Gilbert's real world management experience (at AT&T, 1981-1988, research background; at the Urban Institute, 1978-1979; with the School of Medicine 1992-1995) and consulting engagements provide a unique approach to the field of microeconomics. Business Economics, as taught by Professor Gilbert, is a relevant and topical series of discussions and lectures. She has won four prestigious teaching awards since joining Emory University. Under Susan Gilbert's leadership, the Evening MBA Program at Goizueta Business School has undergone signifcant transformation. No longer "night school,” the program is a holistic learning experience, combining unique professional development activities, new global learning opportunities, and a deep sense of community. Susan lectures frequently and has been profiled in the media regarding current trends and practices in part time MBA education.
