Emory Goizueta Business School

Emory Executive Education’s longest running custom client returns year after year for an immersion in American business and culture

Emory Executive Education’s longest running custom client for over fifteen years is with a private company in Austria. This company runs the equivalent to an EMBA through a business school at the University of Linz in Linz, Austria. They wanted their degree program students to have a U.S. experience as a part of their degree, in order to gain a better appreciation for U.S. business. The Goizueta Business School is the partner for them in providing this American experience, which includes classroom sessions, company visits and experiencing the culture of Washington D.C. and New York City.

The program provides an educational, business and cultural experience for the international participants. The program is three weeks in length and each year approximately 25 people participate. They are all Austrian managers and executives with excellent experience. The content is typical MBA business acumen—focusing on building functional and leadership skills in the areas of strategy, finance, marketing, operations, global economics and leadership. Action-based learning components include case studies, facilitated discussions, knowledge exchange, business challenge projects, individual style assessment, cultural exchange and company visits.
