"Directors Institute" enables nuclear power industry to maintain standards of excellence

Goizueta held a two day conference targeted to the boards of the nuclear power industry. Goizueta partnered with an Atlanta-based company which helps establish industry standards of excellence. The "Directors Institute" was created-- over fifty board members participated in this knowledge exchange from within the nuclear industry. The focus was to educate board members on the nuclear power industry, as well as to have candid discussions on the boards' role in enterprise risk management, director oversight and the creation of a safety culture.

Faculty was comprised of thought leaders in the industry, as well as from practitioners and board members in other high-risk industries. Government regulators and representatives from organizations that represent shareholders and the financial community were also part of the team. Action-based learning components comprised of facilitated discussions, case studies, knowledge exchange and panel discussions from industry leaders.
