International Internships
The international internships offered by Goizueta give BBAs the chance to apply problem-solving skills and to tackle worldwide business issues. Goizueta currently offers the internships listed below.
Overall Considerations
German language is not required, but some language competency will be an advantage. BBA students enrolled in the Business School may apply, including those on exchange and graduating seniors; current students will receive first consideration. Selected students without prior knowledge of German are expected to gain an elementary understanding of German by mid-May. Previous interns reported that some knowledge of German was very useful for getting around town, meeting office colleagues, and enjoying their experience to the fullest.
Linz Internship Program
Internship length: Mid-May through late-June
Two BBA students will be selected to spend six weeks living and working in the beautiful city of Linz, Austria. Students will be provided with:
- Accommodation in the dormitory of the University of Linz and free German lessons
- Internships at Voest Alpine Stahl, a premier Austrian company
- 750 Euro monthly stipend
Voest Alpine Stahl supplies products for some of the best-known automotive brands in the world, such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Peugeot, Renault, and many others. The internship assignment will be in Marketing, Finance, or General Management depending on the interest and specialty of the selected students. Each intern will have a mentor.
Interns will live in the dormitory of the University of Linz, a longtime Goizueta partner. Dorms house Austrian students as well as 200 American and European exchange students. Linz, Austria’s 3rd largest city, is easily accessible by train to cities like Venice, Munich, Salzburg, Prague, and Vienna.
