Beta Gamma Sigma
Beta Gamma Sigma is a national scholastic honorary society for students of business and management. Membership is restricted to students of high scholarship and good moral character in programs accredited by the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business. Election to the membership in the Gamma Chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma is determined by faculty members of the society based on academic achievement, and is the highest scholastic honor a student in Goizueta Business School can achieve. Academic standing in the top 10 percent of the class within one semester of graduation is generally a prerequisite for, but not a guarantee of, inclusion.
Graduation Honors and Awards
Students whose work, in the faculty’s opinion, has been particularly outstanding during four semesters in the Business School will be granted degrees with distinction, depending on the candidate’s final class standing relative to the total graduating BBA Class. The calculation is inclusive of all graduates, including those from the Summer and Fall of the preceding year.
Graduating with honors in the business school is earned by rank:
| Highest Distinction: | Top 5% |
| High Distinction: | Next 5% (6%-10%) |
| Distinction: | Next 10% (11%-20%) |
