
Junior Seminar (BUS 380) is a series of speakers and symposia scheduled throughout the junior year that focus on building leadership, communications, career development, business computing and academic skills The objective of this course is to fully engage students in a variety of co-curricular events that will enhance personal and professional development. Students may choose any 20 sessions to attend throughout the course of the BBA program. In addition to programming provided by the school, some events organized by student clubs will also count towards junior seminar credit. Both Business Essentials and the BBA Leadership Academy are part of the Junior Seminar Series. Finally, attendance at speaker events will generally count towards the session requirement. Students attend 10 seminars to earn one credit hour.
Senior Seminar (BUS 480) is a one or two credit hour seminar designed to give students professional and industry-specific knowledge that falls outside the scope of traditional BBA courses. Topics have included, but are not limited to, professional networking, personal finance and investing, sports management, and the entertainment industry.
