What We Look For

We seek doctoral students with intellectual curiosity, superior intelligence, a strong work ethic, and a desire to take their place on the faculty of outstanding business schools. The Goizueta Foundation Doctoral Program in business is highly selective and our goal is to provide a closely-knit environment that promotes intense scholarly interaction between students and faculty.


Applicant Backgrounds

Strong candidates will have backgrounds relevant to their chosen area of study. For example:

  • Accounting and Finance
    Prior coursework in economics or engineering and demonstrated skills in quantitative methods.

  • Information Systems
    Prior coursework and practical experience in computer programming, computer science, cognitive science, or aspects of systems design and implementation.
  • Marketing
    Prior course work in psychology, sociology, engineering and the sciences, or marketing, as well as training in basic statistics.
  • Organization & Management
    Prior coursework in economics, sociology, or psychology and practical experience in management.

Applications from outstanding students with more eclectic backgrounds, however, are also welcome.

  • TOEFL exam (Foreign applicants)
