One-Year MBA Overview

Goizueta is one of only a handful of business schools in the US that offers a One-Year MBA program in a full-time, three-semester, 12-month curriculum. Running from May to May each year, the One-Year MBA program starts with a week-long orientation experience which is required for all students.

During an intensive summer semester, you will complete an accelerated review of first-year core business courses. In the months that follow, you will spend the majority of your time with Two-Year Full-Time MBA students in elective courses that can be focused or broad in nature. Due to the length of this program, it is not possible to complete an internship; however, the one-year format provides full access to second-year electives, LEAD Week, Goizueta PLUS seminars, Goizueta Leadership Academies and other leadership opportunities.

Who should apply?

The One-Year MBA program is specifically designed for students who possess:

  • Solid and progressive work experience
  • An undergraduate degree in business or economics – applicants with strong quantitative backgrounds in majors such as engineering or mathematics may also qualify for admission
  • Prior coursework which includes: Statistics, Financial Accounting, Corporate Finance and Microeconomics

Students interested in the One-Year MBA program should have focused post-MBA goals, such as:

  • Furthering their current career path
  • Making a slight career change (and not need a summer internship to do so)
