Admissions Questions
- When does the Evening MBA Program enroll?
The Evening MBA Program enrolls once-per-year in September. - Are interviews required for the Evening MBA Program?
Yes. Evening MBA application files are not considered complete until the candidate has completed an in-person interview. To schedule an interview please call 404-727-6311 or email interview@bus.emory.edu. - How important is work experience in the application process?
The quality of an applicant's work experience is an important factor in the application review process. 100% of our students have full-time work experience following the undergraduate degree. Most students have a minimum of 2 years of work experience; the average is 6 years. - Do I have to wait until my application is complete to submit it to your office?
No. You may have various components of the application sent directly to the Admissions office and we will store those items until you have submitted the complete application. - Is financial corporate sponsorship required for admission?
No. Financial corporate sponsorship is not a factor in the admissions process. - Are scholarship opportunities available for Evening MBA applicants?
All admitted Evening MBA applicants will be considered for a limited number of scholarships. To be eligible for consideration, applicants must apply by the March 1 scholarship deadline. - When will I be expected to pay the tuition expenses and do payment plans exist?
Upon registration for each semester, you will receive a tuition bill for courses you have registered for. For more information about payment plans, please see our Financial Aid page. - Does the Evening MBA Program accept transfer credit?
A limited number of credit hours may be transferred into our Evening MBA Program. Students can transfer a maximum of 4 courses. These courses must have been completed within the last 5 years and had to be part of a graduate degree seeking program from an accredited university or college. Transfer credit is not part of the admissions process and requests for consideration of transfer credit will be reviewed by the Associate Dean and Director of the Evening MBA Program after a student has enrolled in the program. Final decisions on credit transfer are made exclusively by the Associate Dean and Director of the Evening MBA Program.
Program Questions
- When do classes meet?
Students attend classes two evenings a week. Each class meets one evening per week on Monday through Thursday during fall, spring and summer semesters. During the summer semester, two class sessions will be held on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in order to provide breaks between semesters. Core courses are scheduled on Monday and Wednesday evenings. For additional information please view the Program Structure. - Why should I choose Goizueta Business School's Evening MBA Program?

The Evening MBA experience provides students with a network of business colleagues, real-time application of knowledge learned in the classroom, and strong leadership development to advance their career to the next level-without career interruption. - What are the services offered by the Career Management Center for Evening MBA students?
The Career Management Center offers a variety of services to Evening MBA students. Some of these services include career development seminars, one-on-one coaching, self-assessment, mock interviews, as well as access to their contact database. Evening MBA students gain access to on-campus recruiting once they are within twelve months of graduation. To learn more about these services, visit our Career Management section. - Does the Evening MBA Program offer global perspectives or will I be at a disadvantage as a local, part-time student?
Evening MBA students can participate in international week-long courses, the International Colloquium (required) and internationally focused electives at the Goizueta Business School. - What is the curriculum flexibility?
In addition to regularly scheduled core and elective courses, students can elect to participate in opportunities to accelerate their program. These include: Washington Campus Independent Study elective, the Cross Registration option (ARCHE), International Elective weeks, and our Accelerated Course Electives (ACE).
