How is Goizueta Business School's Executive MBA program ranked?

- A completed application
- Two letters of recommendation
- Four essays
- An official GMAT report or an approved GMAT waiver
- A personal interview
- Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended.
For more information, review our Application Checklist.
Must I submit my application all at once?
No. You may submit the application in various parts, as you complete them, or you may have various components of the application sent directly to the Admissions Office.
Are interviews required for the EMBA Program?
Interviews are required for the Executive MBA Program. You may interview whether or not you have an application on file, and you are not obligated to apply even if you have interviewed. We conduct interviews year-round in Atlanta for both program formats. We also conduct interviews in select cities outside of Atlanta throughout the year; please contact the EMBA Admissions Office for a schedule. Through the interview process, we hope to understand your career progression and why you are considering pursuing your MBA. Generally, we spend 45 minutes to 1 hour in the interview. On a case-by-case basis, we will consider telephone interviews for those who cannot travel to Atlanta.
Is financial corporate sponsorship required for admission?
Financial corporate sponsorship is not a factor in the admissions process. All Executive MBA students must have the support of their employers in the form of time away from the office to attend class sessions and the International Colloquium.
What is the size of the program?
Generally, the EMBA program enrolls between 30-40 students each fall in our Modular format and between 90-110 students each January in our Weekend format.
Is the GMAT required of all applicants?
The Executive MBA Program requires a GMAT score or approved waiver.
What are the differences between the WEMBA format and the MEMBA format?
Both formats of the Executive MBA Program are taught by Goizueta's world-class, premier faculty and are held on Emory University's main campus in Atlanta. The basic distinction is the delivery model of the two formats. The Weekend Executive MBA program begins in January, and meets on alternating weekends (Fridays and Saturdays, with a few Thursdays) over a period of 16 months. The Modular Executive MBA Program begins in July and meets for nine residency periods (7-10 days) over 22 months.
For more information, view our Format Comparison Chart.
How do the expectations differ in the Weekend and the Modular Executive MBA Program formats?
The basic difference in student expectations surrounds the Modular EMBA residency format. During the on-campus residency modules, students may choose to reside on campus at the Emory Conference Center or may decide to reside elsewhere in the city of Atlanta. All students must be within a reasonable commute of Goizueta for all residency modules as all Modular students are expected to be in class from 8am-5pm, and participate in evening work groups during residency modules. Modular students are required to remain at Goizueta for lunch and dinner. Because of the academic schedule during residency modules, students should not expect to participate in outside activities that are not related to the program, regardless of where they reside during residency modules.
