C-level Skill Sourcing: New Alternatives

Date: November 16, 2009
Time: Networking 6:00-7:00 pm, Panel 7:00-8:30
Location: Goizueta Business School, Emory University

For companies just starting out, or growing at a rapid rate, using the talents and expertise of experienced C-Level professionals greatly improves the path to success and increases the value of the business. Unfortunately, employing C-Level or other Executive-Level talent is often out of reach for many rising businesses. Whether in areas of technology, marketing, legal or human resources – or even in top level general management, we often feel that we have to compromise and prioritize. “We can’t hire that c-level now – we’ll have to wait until the next round.” Today, there are new ways that small- and medium-sized companies can take advantage of the expertise outsourced C-Level executive skills – either as an in-house or off-site executive – without taking on the expense and risk of a full-time employee. In this informative panel, professionals from several business areas are joined by venture executive and a “serial” board member to discuss the ways that these arrangements might work. Experienced and recognized c-level skills enhance the trust and confidence of investors, vendors, bankers and customers. How can we achieve scale without breaking the cash flow or decreasing the “runway”?
