Business Intelligence Corner: Build Custom Data with EIU from the Goizueta Business Library

EIU now offers economic and industry data for 150 countries with its new Data Tool.

Data sets can be built around economic data, as well as industry data for any of the eight key areas EIU covers: Automotive, Consumer Goods, Energy, Financial Services, Food and Drinks, Healthcare, Telecoms and Technology, and Travel and Tourism.

• In EIU, select: ViewsWire
• Click on the Data Tool link on the left side of the page
• Build your data set using the drop down menus.
• Hint: make sure you click the "add" button for each piece of criteria you select
• Select View Data
• EIU offers the option to view the data as a chart or export to Excel.

Remember, Goizueta alumni have free access to both Factiva and EIU via the Library's Services to Alumni page. Factiva provides access to over 9000 newspapers and EIU includes global news data and analysis.
