Alumni Relations
Dear Alumni and Friends,
Welcome to 2008 at Goizueta. The Office of Alumni Relations started the academic year with a very successful Alumni Awards Dinner that featured keynote speaker Arthur Blank - Chairman, The Arthur Blank Family Foundation, Co-founder The Home Depot, Owner and CEO, Atlanta Falcons and Owner and CEO, Georgia Force. Over 300 alumni and friends watched Mrs. Olga Casteleiro De Goizueta accept the Distinguished Achievement Award from Dean Larry Benveniste. During Homecoming Weekend our office hosted a “Back to School with your Favorite Professor” day and Reunions for the MBA classes of 1982, 1997 and 2002, the EMBA classes of 1982, 1997 and 2002 and the EvMBA Classes of 1997 and 2002. We will be sending out save the date cards for next year’s reunions soon. So, if you are in a reunion class, be on the lookout for a postcard in January!
The Mentor Program Kickoff Breakfast was very successful with Anil Menon - Vice President, Marketing and Strategy, for IBM Systems and Technology Group as keynote speaker to over 300 alumni and students. In addition, the Mentor Program has introduced a series of functional panels that they began to roll out this fall. For more information on the program and the new panels, please go here.
In addition to our Atlanta Goizueta Group and New York Goizueta Group, we have added Goizueta Groups in Washington, DC and Chicago, IL. We have hosted speaker events, receptions and holiday parties in these cities. The Goizueta Groups work closely with the Emory Chapters in those cities. For more information on these Groups, please check out our website by going to Clubs and Organizations.
There are many activities going on each month that are too numerous to mention. Our monthly e-news has a new format and is a great way to keep up with all of our activities, to check out the latest job listings, and to see what’s new at the library. There are many ways to get involved at Goizueta. We hope to see you at an event very soon.
Warm regards,
Samantha Renfro
