Dean's Message
From Dean Larry Benveniste
In today’s business environment, organizations are keenly aware that the leadership ability of their employees is the primary source of sustained value. Our mission at Goizueta Business School is to provide the ideal environment for students to grow academically and as leaders.
Leadership development is an area of study in which Goizueta Business School excels. Furthermore, we emphasize principled leadership. We seek to admit and educate leaders of the highest ethical standards. We believe that corporate ethics and profitability are correlated. We adhere to a rigorous code of conduct, and we offer the study of ethics as an important component of our curriculum.
Through our small, intimate environment students learn to make critical decisions, lead teams, and collaborate with others. Our leadership model focuses on the complete individual, addressing the cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and relational components. Our renowned faculty is critical to our success, and we are engaged in the development of a strategic plan for continuing faculty growth.
Another point of distinction for Goizueta Business School is our commitment to diversity. To me, diversity starts with a welcoming, and supportive culture. We have a great culture with strong values at the core. Our strong culture, combined with the advantages and support offered by Atlanta’s corporate community, makes the school a destination for students, faculty and staff of all backgrounds.
These key elements – a focus on leadership and academics, an intimate learning environment, and a strong commitment to diversity – have gotten us to where we are, and will take us to the next level to meet the changing demands of our dynamic marketplace.

Lawrence M. Benveniste, Ph.D.
